Questions about a recipe or a loaf

If a bake did not turn out, tell us which recipe or article you followed and describe what you saw. Useful details include the type of flour, whether you weighed ingredients, the temperature of your kitchen, how long the dough rose and what your oven setup is. Photos of the crumb and crust can help explain what happened, though you are welcome to write without them. We cannot promise a personal answer to every message, but questions often shape what we write next.

Suggestions for new topics

We write for home bakers, so your ideas matter. If there is a bread, technique, ingredient swap or piece of equipment you would like explained, send us a note describing the problem you want solved. Specific situations, such as baking at altitude or adapting a recipe for a bread machine, are especially useful.

Corrections

If you find an error in a measurement, a step or a nutrition note, please send us the page title and the line you are asking about. We will review it and correct the page when a mistake is confirmed.

A note on privacy

When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, subject, message and anything else you choose to share, and we use it only to read and respond to your message. See the Privacy Policy for more details about how the site handles information.
