I'm Nora, the editorial voice behind Honey Butter Bread. I grew up in a small Midwestern town where Saturday mornings smelled like a neighbor's yeast rolls. My own first loaf, years later, was dense enough to prop open a door, which is why I care so much about explaining the "why" behind every step.

I like sourdough starters and their moods, old church-cookbook recipes for rolls and quick breads, and secondhand cast iron. I keep hydration notes in the margins of nearly everything and have strong opinions about crispy cornbread edges.

Most baking failures are information problems, not talent problems, so I write recipes with checkpoints you can see and feel, and I name the likely cause before the fix. I am a fictional editorial persona, explained on the About page, and equipment pieces here are researched, not lab-tested.
